AC Milan president, Marco Fasone has confirmed that the Italian club approached Chelsea's Diego Costa.
The Spanish forward seems set for Chelsea exit this summer after his relationship with manager Antonio Conte has fell completely, as the manager has set his mind on selling Costa since January.
Sources close to the Spanish striker are of the view that Costa has his heart in rejoining Atletico Madrid.
Milan president, Fassone said: "I would prefer to avoid talking about players from other teams; Diego Costa is a great player, but a Chelsea player.
"We went to see Jorge Mendes; there is a lot you can talk to him about.
"Costa is a great player but he is of Chelsea. That's all."
